04 Installation Notes: Pipeline Cleaning is Crucial

The safety valve is a precision protection device, and its sealing surface is precision ground. Once damaged by impurities, it will cause leakage or even failure. Before installing a new threaded seawater safety valve, please be sure to perform the following operations:

• Thoroughly purge/clean the pipeline: Newly installed pipelines may contain welding slag, rust, sediment and other debris. Before installing the safety valve, the pipeline must be thoroughly purged or cleaned with compressed air or clean water to ensure impurities are removed.
